| | | Good books on digital nature photography ? Anyone recomend a good book on digital nature photography ? I have a couple from my 35mm days,by Bob Gibbons and Laurie Campbell,but I guess alot of things have moved on a little since there release. |

John Shaw: Closeups in Nature
John Shaw: Nature Photography Field Guide
Whilst neither of the above are strictly for digital photography, I think the principle lessons still apply.
Another book which does relate strictly to digital photography:
Sybex: Photoshop CS3 for Nature Photographers
It's full of good example photographs and I'm hoping it'll improve my Photoshop skills, I know I need all the help I can get!

| | | Re: Good books on digital nature photography ? Again, not digital specific, but Chris Gomersall's Photographing Wild Birds is very good on technique and field craft. It also contains an excellent "Nature Photographer's Code of Practice". You just have to skip over the bits on which film to use and how to mount and store transparencies!
