| | | Re: D80 Raw Hello goerdie1970 did you open up the files in imaging software that supports Raw like elements or similar you need a program that supports your raw files to be able to see them and convert to either Tiff or Jpeg, what image software do you use?If you do not have one a porog like Adobe Lightroom will do or if you have elements 4 or 5 you can download the update for your camera.

| | | Re: D80 Raw Hi thanks Bill sorry for taking so long to reply. If I plug the camera into the pc and send the images to a folder in my docs it just sends J-pegs however I used a card reader yesterday and it showed 2 folders one for the raw and one for the J-pegs so Its sorted I think |

| | | Re: D80 Raw Hello Geordie you will find that you are better with the card reader not only do you not have to load the camera installation disc and take up valuable space on the Hard drive it is also a lot faster in transfering the images to the PC ,glad you managed to resolve your problem

| | | Re: D80 Raw I had this problem before when using a windows computer. When I plugged my camera into the PC, windows would ask "do you want to import pictures?" or words to that effect. If I said yes it would only import jpegs because it didn't recognise the RAW files extension (.CR2) as a picture, so it ignored the RAW images.
I had to browse the camera as if it were a mass-storage device by clicking on My Computer->EOS350D then I could see all the files.
Regards,
