| | | Kodak C734 help I am more than likely getting a Kodak C734 at the end of this month. I have been trying to find online what a before and after shot of a X4 digital picture looks like. Has anyone got a before and after of a X4 zoom please so i can get an idea what it would look like?
I am mainly using it for photos in the Lake District.
I will be going there this winter so I hope to get some good shots. |

| | | Re: Kodak C734 help assuming you meant the kodak C743 (734 doesnt seem to exist looking at the kodak site) this camera has a 3x optical zoom and a 5x digital zoom - like hobjob says i'd be inclined to forget the latter as its just an in camera crop
while the 3x optical zoom will take from a slight wide angle to a slight zoom (about 24-75mm 35mm equivalent)
is there any particular reason you picked the kodak btw - while they arent bad cameras they wouldnt be my first choice for what you are doing - I'd be inclined to look at either a canon powershot, nikon coolpix, pentax optio, or fuji f11 (the latter is virtually the same spec as the kodak but smaller , better built and has high endurance batteries which can do 1000-1500 shots on one charge.)
