| | | Which Wide Angle Lens? I'm going to buy a wide angle lens for my 20D, the one I've got my eye on is the
Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC HSM.
Has anyone here got or used this lens? If so, how do you rate it? |

I'll have a look at the 12-24. I'm not set on any particular one, I was simply looking at the widest one available, but if the 12mm performs just as well then I'll definitely be interested in that one.
The main reason I want one is that I'm going to Switzerland next spring, and a wide angle lens will be a definite advantage. |

| | | Re: Which Wide Angle Lens? technically the widest one available is the 8mm fisheye but thats kind of specialist - i think the reason the 12 has a wider field of view is the convex front (which also means you cant fit a filter easily)
the 12 is also about 100 notes more than the 10 - so you might find that the 10 is the better option after all

| | | Re: Which Wide Angle Lens? Hi, have you a Jessops near you that is closing. If so, try there. I visited a Jessops that was closing in Glasgow and they were selling off their stock. Bough a Sigma 17-35mm f2.8, which retails at around £300 and got it for £95.99. They also had the Sigma 105mm Macro for £86 but not in my camera fitting, pity. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
