| | Insert an image Hi. I am new to this and have been reading some of the more recent postings. I have a belated reply to WILDONE's posting on cropping the swan/cygnet image. I have a another cropping alternative that I would like to insert with my reply. I can't see how to do this as the box that comes up says I can only insert an existing Gallery image.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks, David. |

You could post your new image as a forum image which is a quick and painless process and does not involve a moderator, and then incorporate that forum image in your reply.
Hope this helps

If you find the "Forum Images" Gallery and upload your image there it will give you a "Forum Image Code" that can be copied and pasted into your reply. You can preview your post to make sure the image is displaying correctly before posting. |

| | | Re: Insert an image I put an image of a red kite on in Birds of prey. I wonder how long it takes for someone to decide whether or not it is good enough to grace this forum |

Thanks, David. | Hi David, I've just moderated some of your recent uploads and I must say what a pleasure it was to do them. You may be new, but you've got the system off to perfection, correctly named with the scientific name, correct keyword entries as well as excellent images. There's a few dozen regulars that could learn a thing or to from you. |

| | Re: Insert an image Hi. Thanks for your help. I have found 'Forum Images' in the 'upload'. If I follow this route will not the imigae end up in 'My Gallery'?
I have reworked WILDONE's image - it is not my own.
Thanks for your comments GLSAMMY, I am glad you like my pictures. I have only had my Digital SLR since last September so I have not got many good images - yet!!

David. | You can reload an image under the original owners name, it's an option further down the upload page.
If you post an image in the forum Gallery, using your id, it will show in "My Gallery."
If you use the "The username these files should be uploaded under:" Option, then it will not appear in your "My Gallery."
Forum posts are really for images unsuitable for the main galleries, for whatever reason.
