| | | Image editing software which one ? I have a Nikon Coolpix 4500 I have been using with much success, editing with Nikon View & Microsoft Photo Editor,but I am about take delivery of a Canon Eos 400D and am getting confused with all the different programs available.Will I get some sort of software with the camera,I have been looking at some of the fantastic examples on this web-site,but am completly confused can anybody advise.I take shots of most wildlife & forna,but recently started with Macro using 70-300mm with Canon 5000 eos 35mm spiders & butterflies.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

You will get some software with the camera, particularly for editing RAW files, but I would simply buy Adobe Photoshop Elements 5. In my view this is far and away the market leader and does most of what Photoshop CS does but for a fraction of the cost. It will also process RAW files if you plan to shoot using RAW rather than JPEG. You should be able to buy it for around £60.

And I believe they have no plans to update it or produce future plug-ins.
