| | | Elements 8 Has anyone got this..
I need lots of basic info on how to use this program, I converted files from raw into jpeg but it didn't save the original raw file.
I don't know how to get the shots into the organiser from my computer I can open to edit in elements.. |

| | | Re: Elements 8 I thiiiiiiiiink the original raw file will be saved still, but the jpeg will be in a version set so you can't immediately see the original. If you right click on the nowhere you should have the option to view or expand the test of the version set.
To get files into the organisers, go to File and select the option to Get Photos... From Files and Folders. When you select the ones you want they will then be added to the organiser, but remain in their original location.
Having said all that, I only have PSE7, so I hope it's the same |

| | | Re: Elements 8 Cheers I can add them to the organiser and work on them from the file on the computer.
I will practice using this program its different from the Gimp I use atm but it gives a better and more in-depth result to the shots.
I had a manual somewhere on-line, I will get the photoshop elements 8 for dummies but will need help as I don't understand the words used in elements.
So any other tips you think will help please post them ..

| | | Re: Elements 8 I'm surmising that Elements is simular to photoshop.
Open the folder with your RAW files in it and drag and drop a file into Elements whilst it's open. Easy Peasy. I never let Bridge or Lightroom organise my photos. |

Elements 8 is photoshop its very good when you master it.
I am making notes so I can look back at what I did but its sinking in now. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
