Video editing software
Can anyone recommend some free video editing software.

Simple stuff like trimming off the rubbish and combining clips.

Idealy should be able to take a range of input formats and save in the range of output formats so I can standardise.

Here you go..this is brilliant you can chop bits off and rejoin and take stills then upload to youtube and facebook all from the same place..

Windows Live Movie Maker 2011

Not sure about the formats.

I use the very popular 'Avidemux':

Avidemux - Main Page

It'll run on any 'platform'.
