Anyone using the Epson 2880 with fotospeed inks. If so, are you using Vivid Magenta or have you tried it with normal Magenta as with the Epson 2400.
ie--Useing the normal fotospeed ink as regards to the Vivid. I'm using the 2400 at moment.
reason for asking is I might buy a 2880 (NO, don't need the bigger ones as I can't afford the ink) and have read that majority can't tell the difference between the normal Magenta and the Vivid so wondered if you can load the normal ink in instead of both Vivid inks.

Well I did contact fotospeed...The answer was--YES! you can use the 2400 ink in a 2800 as long as you don't load the vivid ink in first.
So when one receives the 2800 just do not load in the original cartridges.
Load up with either Fotospeed ink system or refillable cartridges.
Been reading a lot and loads say you can't tell the difference if its Vivid ink or normal ink on the paper anyway.
So I'm Good to go when ready.. | | |
