elements 8 or 9 hdr

hi everyone
can anyone tell me if its possible that you can make hdr photos within elements 8 or 9 using photomerge, i plan on upgrading from elements 5 to 9 for xmas

Hi Tezza,

I can comment on the HDR side of Elements 9 I'm afraid but just wanted to say I upgraded from 6 to 9 not that long ago and was very happy I did. I'll try to have a look for "photomerge" and see what I can find.

I don't use Elements but I did see a write up about Photoshop 9 recently which listed all it's capabilities; so if I can find it again I will give the link.

But here is a HDR Tutorial which you may find useful High Dynamic Range (HDR) Photography in Photoshop

thanks for your replies looked everything up you suggested, looks like elements 9 for me this xmas. i think photomerge will do the job i wanted plus the contents aware function, and other extras will be well worth the upgrade.
