Hi everyone
Just a quicky, lightroom is not really a cut down version of photoshop but is a program that is targeted at photography rather than just graphic design.
It shares a similar RAW convertor but the big difference is in its digital assess management ability, DAM. It is aimed at making the photographic workflow more streamlined from downloading from a camera card, batch processing and filing easier and as a result retrieving images from your catalogue for sending to clients. Things like keywords can easily be applied to many images and you can have virtual copies of your image.
If you need to do in depth editing work then you can export to photoshop but for most images lightroom is more than capable. Visit the luminous landscape site for more in depth info.
