The new iMacs are superb machines. I'm hankering after the 27 inch with quad-core processor, but am currently put off by the fact that the screen is not anti-reflective (like my current iMac).
I also use a MacBook Pro (13 inch screen) for various applications, but not for photo editing, as there are too many extraneous reflections on the glass display.
Just something to bear in mind.

| | | Re: Photoshop on Mac or Windows?? Rich brew - if we had the money we'd go mac pro and terrabytes - if only LOL Perhaps one day when we're making money instead of studying, eh?
OH has an oldish macbook which is currently 'poorly' - I think it may need a new battery. He hasn't mentioned anything about reflections so I don't know if it has that problem or not.
I think it's gonna be after the new year till it all gets delivered. (sulks)
ACHER - not Archer Short for Acherontia (atropos)(see avater) and a play on the Somerset dialect 'Acker' for 'friend'.

| | | Re: Photoshop on Mac or Windows?? I have two macs. An old e-mac which is very slow running and has ps7 on it and a macbook which has aperture 2 installed. I use aperture not just because of the speed, but because it was easier to come to grips with.
As for windows versus mac....A mate powered up his sony laptop and (after a long wait) showed me some of his photos on flickre the other day and within ten or so minutes we had four security warnings appear on the screen.... WARNINGS ???? He looked at me in disbelief when I told him I'd never seen one of those before....Nuff said!!!!!
