| | | Making a calendar Hope this is the right forum
I'm thinking about getting calendars made using my photos as gifts for family this year. Last year I tried making them myself but they ended up looking very amateur So I thought this year I'd use a service that did it for me. Trouble is, I don't know where to go. Has anyone done this and if so where did they get it done, please

| | | Re: Making a calendar There were some posts about calendars on this thread by FUDGEY... What do you do with your best pics?
that might help Most of the Photo Processing chains do calendars, but the prices vary quite a bit. Why did you think yours looked amateurish?

| | | Re: Making a calendar Thanks for the quick replies. I remember that thread now, loripo, thanks for the reminder. Some pretty good suggestions on there.
The calendars I made last year were let down by how they were put together, I couldn't find anything (within my, then, non existent budget ) that made it easier to flip them over, if you know what I mean. This year we're both in stable jobs so I have a bit more money to play with.
I'll have a looksy through the suggestions and see if I can find one that suits. Thankyou

| | | Re: Making a calendar Hi Claire,
The first few years that I had calendars made I used bagsoflove.co.uk (in spite of the rather icky name). They were good but very pricey so last year I switched to Photobox whose A3 calendar is £10 cheaper. I was really pleased with them and thought the quality was even better than bagsoflove. I've had two calendars made again this year (I'm a sucker for a special offer ), one of seabirds and one of butterflies. Haven't yet decided which one is for home and which for the office. I used Photobox again and am just as pleased as I was last year.

| | | Re: Making a calendar Just a thought Claire. I used to print my own some time ago. You could try getting a price from a commercial printer. It wont be cheap in full colour, but you could do what I used to do, and sell them at car boot/or craft fairs. I always made enough to cover the cost of printing etc, and managed to make a drink as well - happy days! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
