photoshop CS2 no question - comes in at about 600 notes - Adobe lightroom when it comes out , but you will be able to upgrade from CS2
I think nightshade is reffering to apple aperture which is a highly rated bit of kit , although a review in proffesional photographer still put CS2 ahead
you could spend your extra 400 on a decent raw converter or some interpolation software like genuine fractals
alternatively if you fancy getting into design you can get the whole adobe creative suite (photoshop, freehand, illustrator and indesign) for just over a grand.

Do a web search for OEM software, you'll be surprised at the prices.

Hi, you could always try downloading Photoshop CS2 for free using BitComet and then spending the "Big One" on a new lens

Absolutely. Could n't do with out it. Its brilliant for cleaning up old photo's. I've "improved" family photo's that were taken pre war using PS CS2. |

| Ypu can download Genuine Fractals as a free trial. You can then use it 20 times before it stops working.
