Free editing software

The editing software I use is/are

Photoscape - probably not as good as the likes of GIMP, but very easy to use. Any effect you use can be instantly undone, if you upload to a website that limits the size, Photoscape can resize it really easily and it automatically preserves the original photo.

GIMP - had this a few months and haven't even scratched the surface of it. Looks as if it will do virtually anything the commercial packages will do.

Silkypix - very similar to GIMP - lot of potential.

Best of all they are all free.

Hi all,

I also use Photoscape, it is superb for easily resizing.
I also use Paint.net which has some very useful plugins.
I do have Silkypix installed but can't comment on this one since I have not really used it yet.

Tried to use gimp but find it to be complicated to use.

I've never used any editing software before. So yesterday downloaded Gimp....

Very impressed and amazed it's free! It does seem complicated for a beginner but I'm sure with a bit of practice I'll get the hang of it.

My 9 yr old had a go this afternoon & had lots of fun....
