I've been using Microsoft ICE. Its a free direct download from Microsoft and it just works! Only suggestion is to use a decent overlap (about 30%) on the adjoining photos when you take them.

The most I've ever "stitched" is 16 but it was fine.

Hi

If you are willing to spend some money I would recommend the PTguiplugin for Photoshop. It's highly efficient and is much more capable than the Photomerge function in Ps. PTgui is one of the more advanced programs and costs about £60.
