| | | Music To Accompany Photo CD I'd put some holiday photo's on to a cd to show a friend and thought it would have been nicer to have music on it too.
I tried to put on music from a couple of cd's but the copyright wouldn't allow me to.
There must be a simple way of doing it. Can anyone help me please? |

| | | Re: Music To Accompany Photo CD rip it to MP3 first is, IIRC, the way to go.
Let me know if you are still stuck and no answer here; my daughter does it all the time for her wedding photography. Quote:

| | | Re: Music To Accompany Photo CD I do that too, to CD & DVD, perhaps it depends what you are using to do it. If you have Vista it tries to do a sneaky and rush off & get info and also prevent ripping. You can alter the settings for this. Once you have ripped the track you can copy it into Move Maker along with your photos and adjust the timings etc.The results are usually great so good luck. |

| | | Re: Music To Accompany Photo CD Thanks both for the information. Yes I use Vista. I ripped tracks off my CD but as I said Windows Photo Gallery wouldn't allow me to add the tracks to the CD that I was burning.
Perhaps I should try another photo editing programme. Any ideas welcomed. |

| | | Re: Music To Accompany Photo CD If you check your Media Player library and the 'Tile' option shows the album covers it has probably gone to the Internet & gathered up the info.
THis is from my copy of Windows Vista for Dummies (I always understand his series of books!) Have a look and see if you can stop the internet search, then have a try with another track. Vista is far too clever I think |

| | | Re: Music To Accompany Photo CD Reading back I see you use Photo Gallery to burn the phots, I havent done that. I use MOvie Maker, DVD maker or do a Photo Album in Powerpoint, and all of these will take an audio track. Will see what mine will do... |

| | | Re: Music To Accompany Photo CD Sorry - me again! I just tried - If you have Make a Movie next to the Burn at the top of the screen it's quite straightfowrward. Check if you do first and perhaps I could PM what to do. |

| | | Re: Music To Accompany Photo CD Why don't you try photo story?
it's a free download from microsoft and once you are familiar with it you can make brilliant slideshows.
Import photo's - add transition effects - add music - play story

| | | Re: Music To Accompany Photo CD Thanks all. Have retried all the editing progs I have but get these messages ~
Windows DVD Maker - The file is not supported. The file c:\ etc is protected using digital rights managment and cannot be imported.
Windows Movie Maker - X ( red cross ) An unknown error has occured.
Windows Media Centre - Does not support etc.
So, will try your suggestion Oscar 2006 and see what happens. Trouble is, the more it won't allow me to do it ,the more determined I am.
I'm certain there's a simple way. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
