| | How Do I Copy & Paste Exif Data ? Anyone know a quick effective way of copying the full exif details from a photo's "properties" so that it can be pasted into a word document or a reply post on WAB?
Can't seem to find any method of copying & pasting from the properties window. (Other than by doing a "print screen" etc. etc.) - but that just copies as a picture with no means of highlighting individual sections of the data etc.
I've tried from within Paintshop Pro, Photoshop Elements, and Microsoft Photo Gallery. (highlighting the text & right clicking is not an option).
Any suggestions appreciated.
Regards

| | | Re: How Do I Copy & Paste Exif Data ? there's a program called PhotoMe that allows you to save the exif data as a .txt file
it's a great little program that tells you "everything" about your photo
here's the website PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor
Hope this helps.... |

This is a free fully functional download, you only have to pay if you want to get rid of a 90 second delay each time you go into it.

| | | Re: How Do I Copy & Paste Exif Data ? Thanks for the replys folks - I'll have a good look at what options these offer.
I was hoping there was some way to get at the exif info (and to be able to copy it) from within the Paintshop Pro or Photoshop Elements software. After all, these are supposedly the digital photography market leaders. (Excluding the full blown Photoshop that is).
I'm a little bit loathe to download yet another photo manipulation software programme to get at this data, but might just have to.

Use the Canon RAW converting DPP programme. Select the required image. Show full exif data. Select All or drag to select the relevant parts. Right click and Copy. Close DPP and Open my text programme (I use Serif Page Plus). Paste into a page (ctrl + v or use the paste menu).
With my text software the resulting exif details are fully editable. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
