Adobe Photoshop Elements

I have just installed Adobe Photoshop Elements on my computer, it seems to have taken over, everything i open, pics, PDF saved docs, etc automaticaly are opend by A.P.E. . Is there a way of preventing this without deleting A.P.E. Regards Davy

If you browse a folder containing one of your photos, and right click on the filename of any individual photo, you will be presented with the option "open with" and the option will probably have photoshop elements highlighted.

At the bottom of that small window, you will see a small tick box which will currently have a tick inside -that box will say "always use the selected program to open this kind of file".

If you deselect the tick, it should solve your problem.

You will need to do this operation (but only once) for each type of file you're having problems with.

i.e. once for photo's, once for PDF's, etc.
