| | | Adobe Gamma ? Hi,I just been trying to calibrate my monitor,so it appears on screen the same as a photo test print,{wich I have scanned into my computer}.It`s not to far out,but the flesh tones are noticeably off,I have been trying to use the Adobe Gamma thing, but when I make adjustments,no changes happen to the graphics displayed by the step by step wizzard ? Anyone help ? |

It is also necessary to ensure that your scanner, as well as your monitor, is providing 'true colours' or colours that are similar to the image as scanned.
The following web page provides details on colour management and an alternative to Adobe for monitor calibration. I use this system and find it better than Adobe Gamma
Hopefully this will be of assistance. Obtaining and building ICC profiles

| | | Re: Adobe Gamma ? Thanks Jon,but surely if I adjust the contrast and brightness, the grey box in side the black box should get lighter / darker, even if my monitor is originally set up correctly ?
With thanks. |

With thanks. | Hi , Yes that would be correct. I misunderstood your first post, I thought you were saying that when you clicked the 'before' and 'after' button in the last stage there was no difference.
I take it you don't have another 'monitor calibration software' running that can be overiding Adobe Gamma.????
Don't know if the following may highlight something ???? Video – How to use Adobe Gamma
Failing that could it be that Adobe Gamma hasn't properly loaded.
Sorry can't think of anything else.
