| | | Lightroom V.2 Beta Adobe have just released a beta version of Lightroom Version 2 which is available from their web site until August for free. If you already have Lightroom 1.3.1 installed I would be careful if you decide to download the beta version, read the release notes first.
A couple of new useful features including a dodge and burn tool and you can now open a RAW image in photoshop without Lightroom converting it to a TIFF or JPEG first.
Have fun playing with it.

| | | Re: Lightroom V.2 Beta As far as I can see Adobe have released Lightroom 2.
Lots of new features including better integration with PS. Multi-screen support. New brush tool for selective dodging and burning. etc etc...
After using 1.4 and not really bothering to experiment with the beta I'm excited to see how it shapes up. Runs a hell of a lot faster on my macbook that aperture.

Chris | I have found Lightroom 2 a big improvement on LR1. The new brush tools are very good and the dual monitor setup also helps.

| | | Re: Lightroom V.2 Beta I've just ordered myself a new PC, largely because my current 10 year old pentium 4 is struggling to run Lightroom. It wasn't bad with the 6MP files from my D70 but the 12MP of the D300 is a different story.
The machine I'm getting has an Intel Core2 Quad 64 bit processor, so I'm pleased to see that LR 2 supports 64 bit as well. I should be able to listen to music while editing again, something I haven't been able to do since getting my D300 back in Feb.

| | | Re: Lightroom V.2 Beta I got Lightroom 2 at the weekend.
Haven't had a good play around with it yet, but from first impressions it looks good and the new functions seem spot on! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
