| | | Lightroom 1.4 It appears that Adobe have removed Lightroom version 1.4 from their web site given there are a number of bugs in the software. Adobe recommends that anyone who updated to version 1.4 should uninstall it and reinstall version 1.3.1 until such time as a new version of 1.4 is released.
Press announcement can be seen here:- LightroomNews » Adobe Lightroom News

| | | Re: Lightroom 1.4 Thanks for the heads up Gerry!
Any idea what the issue is? I upgraded to 1.4 pretty much as soon as it came out and haven't had any problems with it. I shall roll-back as recommended anyway.

There seems to be a number of problems, the Exif time stamp, DNG conversion and Olympus conversion errors. Thats just the ones they know about.
More details here:- LightroomNews » Blog Archive » Adobe Yanks Lightroom 1.4 & Camera Raw 4.4
I think there are other problems not refered to. Since I upgraded to v.1.4 I have been getting an assortment of error messages when I first boot up, since going back to v.1.3.1 have not had any problems.

| | | Re: Lightroom 1.4 I was really cheesed off about the whole LR vs OSX 10.5 issue where something in the metadata caused your whole computer to crash if you tried open a file. I'm not sure whether either side has fixed it yet because I can't use my laptop because there's no wireless or interent where I live/work. It's grim.
Let's hope the bugs get resolved soon!

Version 1.4.1 is supposed to be available now but every time I've tried to download it I've got a "web page temporarily unavailable" error.

Yes, 1.4 is very unreliable. I'm getting all sorts of problems when using it. It's got to the point that I re-boot after using it just to give me a stable computer again. |

| | | Re: Lightroom 1.4 You're lucky Gerry, I'm still getting "Site area temporarily unavailable" every time I try to download it. I've tried clearing my browser cache but still no joy.
