Photo Viewing Software
I've been using ACDSEE 6.0 for the past month on a trial to test its capabilities at quickly viewing, sorting, basic editing and creating thumbnails for thousands of images. With the month running out, I now need to make a decision on whether to buy it or not (many copies).

Has anyone else used this package and know how it compares to the competition? Any info would be much appreciated.

Just as I was about to buy ACDSEE I saw this free app from Google:

Picasa

It took less than five minutes to install and it went straight through my entire PC and automatically began to sort my pictures by date, folders, harddrives etc. It's a great looking app and it appears to be very easy to use. I'll add more info about it as I start to really give it a test drive, but so far it's looking very good.

Hi Stuart

I also have Picasa, very good too it is. However for touching up my photos, I usually use Photoshop Elements 2.
