| | | User Group in/around Birmingham/West Mids Hello people. hope everyone's ok!
I have found myself to be unemployed for the first time in my life. I've had about 2/3 months of it and I'm not dealing with it very well. Anyway, I really want to take my mind of things and get out with the camera gear a lot more and I was hoping that there may be opportunities to setup WAB days out either by simply pairing up or small groups etc (regular basis?).
As a forum newbie I really don't know whether there are any groups already in and around Birmingham or the West Midlands.
I'd love to hear from anyone if either already established or interested in the idea!
regards

| | | Re: User Group in/around Birmingham/West Mids Hi Garry, Welcome to WAB We live in South Birmingham & I thinkthere \are a few of us on here around Brum. No group as far as I know but Jez has one Wyrd Wabbers which is based around Bewdley.
I hope you find work again soon but in the meantime stay possitive & enjoy getting out & about when you can

| | | Re: User Group in/around Birmingham/West Mids Hi I know exactly how you are feeling being unemployed and all I can say is keep trying and you will succeed. I did the same as you and I would spend all morning filling in the endless application forms and searching for vacancies as by lunchtime some of the vacancies close as they have enough applicants. Then in the afternoon i would go out doing photography to lift my spirits which it always does. If it gives you hope I have just secured a brilliant permanent role and the only downside is not having as much free time for my photography!!
Good luck and welcome to WAB if you see a meet that you can make I recommend going as the people on here are great and will really cheer you up

I know Sutton Park very well, it's sort of "been there, done it". I didn't really like the place but that's only becasue it didn't fit in with what I want to photograph etc otherwsie it's ok for relaxing walsk etc
and by "fond memories" do I gather you lived here and swapped being a Brummie to become a permanent Devonite?
