| | Chris Packham I don't know if I've put this in the the right forum. If it's in the wrong place, hopefully the Mods' will kindly move it to where it should be. (Thankyou)
I'm really looking forward to seeing Chris Packham, live, this Saturday night!! Chris Packham - A Wild Life Exposed
The show is about his wildlife journey, supported by images & stories.
It promises to be a spectacle;- "through the camera and from the heart of one of the most impassioned naturalists!"
He is at Camberley Theatre (Surrey) for one show only, so I was surprised but very pleasedto be able to get tickets!
I'll take a book along, just incase he feels inclined to do a few signings!

| | | Re: Chris Packham I've been to 2 of his talks and he is very interactive with the audience. He usually passes out objects that he has collected over his career to see if anyone knows what they are. You will definitely enjoy the evening and he does chat with folk at the end.

| | | Re: Chris Packham Have a great time, Cordaline. I wanted to go and see him at The Capital in Horsham but it clashes with other things I am doing.
Please tell us all about it afterwards. |

| | | Re: Chris Packham The show was fun & very informative indeed!
He seemed quite concerned that his Step-daughter had decided to invite about 75 of her friends round for a party in his abscence!
Plenty of 'oooh, arrrr, wow' moments at his photo's, which were amazing!
He has a website for these:- chrispackhamphotos.com
It took him about 8 minutes to get around to mentioning POO!
Siberian Tiger poo to be exact.
Everyone laughed when he did.
He talked about & showed photo's of:-
Siberian & Bengal Tigers
Red & Grey Squirrels
African Elephant
Red Fox
Egyptian Plover
Gyr Falcon
Damselflies (great visionary pics)
White-crowned Robin Chat
White Lion
Leopard
Cheetah
Golden Eagle
Cattle Egret
Black-winged Stilt
Otters
and maybe a few more I missed.
He was plugging the Gambia as a great wildlife holiday destination. Maybe I'll go soon. Could do with a holiday!!!
Considering he is quite flamboyant on tv, I found him quite self-effacing. He spent alot of the time looking at the floor whilst talking during his presentation.
Very enjoyable evening & got my book & print, that I bought there, signed & a got a cozy piccie together aswell.
I know I said i'd hoped to get up close & personal but didn't expect to get 'that' close!
Great, loved it!
