| | | Johnny Kingdom Isn't it just ACE!!! He really is a massive character and he just loves his wildlife!!! I can't remember watching a wildlife programme that makes me laugh so much although Bill does excel at this too!
Johnny and his mate tonight were so funny, I'm sure they could be a comedy duo!!
What great footage of woodland wildlife too and those Adders, AMAZING!!! Superb programme, it's an absolute JOY to watch as I'm sure you'll all agree!

| | | Re: Johnny Kingdom I agree - he may not be the most educated of people, or perhaps very professional on the presenting front, but he loves what he does and has obviously made an excellent living out of it for years!
We love his programmes, even the silly querky bits with his friends and the funny comments he makes. He just gets so enthusiastic about what he is trying to do, he gets carried away and chatters on as if he is talking to a mate rather than commenting on a TV programme! |

Exspeshaly the badger cubs.
It was nice to see someone on tv that does'nt take seeing wildlife for granted and gets as exsited as I do.

| | | Re: Johnny Kingdom Not my cup of tea I guess. But I agree that his passion shines through - I see him as something of the Fred Dibney of the Natural History world. Fred grew on you as I am sure that Johnny will, in time. And Fred became something of a cult figure. So who knows? |

| | Re: Johnny Kingdom Hi everyone!
Total newbie here, however totally passionate about wildlife and the enviroment!
Just wanted to say how much I loved Johnny Kingdom's series especially the special with the reindeers. I'm reading his book at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it! Not since Bill Oddie has there been such a happy enthusiastic chap!! I just wish he would do another programme quick because I miss him!!! |

| | | Re: Johnny Kingdom J K, David Attenborough, Bill Oddie, Chris Packham et al. Every one of them is a rare asset to the natural world.
Some people like one and not the others, who cares! Between them, each in their own individual way, they are enriching peoples knowledge of the natural world and that can only be a good thing.
My personal opinion is that David Attenborough is absolutely peerless, Chris P may well be his natural succesor. Bill Oddie grates on me occasionally, and Johnny K is as mad as a box of frogs! That said, I love to watch them all

| | | Re: Johnny Kingdom I love them all, too, Black dog. As long as they show me wild-life, I can cope with all of them. Same with the gardening programmes. Everyone has a story to tell. Some tell it in ways that suit each of us better than others. But they're all telling the same story.
Give me any of those programmes over some bloodthirsty film any day!

| | | Re: Johnny Kingdom The first time I Saw Johnny Kingdom on Tv I thought it was a bit of a wind up or something. But the more I watched I saw what a lovely caring guy he is. He's not self oppinionated and gets so excited at each new experience, his happiness is contagious. Top bloke is Johnny, the world would be better if more were like him. |
