| | | Re: Buglife Indeed they do Jules. Its shame they don't have a bit more clought as they my have had more luck stopping the Thurrock site being built on but they svaed Canvey Wick, the most species rich site (on per m2 basis) in the country, and as far as im aware the only brownfield site nature reserve too, which proves they are doing great stuff. They also helped design our green roof on the the Wat Tyler Centre to |

| | | Re: Buglife Morning Neil,
I thought the developers had pulled out of the plans for Thurrock?
Yes, Buglife are great - I particularly respect the work they've done for the Scarlet Melachite Beetle with breeding it in captivity. They also rescued a beetle found only on one site in the UK, that was due for development; volunteers helped them find 60 individuals during the 11th hour. I wonder how that went - what is that beetle's name?! The vernacular begins with an A and the beetle is greeny-orange...
I must join soon - very worthy.
Take care, Jason
