Thanks for pointing me to your thread it is comforting to know that he is still remembered he is my inspiration and wish I could be as knowledgeable as he was about the countryside the difference is I will have to learn where as he had a natural affinity with the wild.

Not only did he do his great work, but he was also an expert on sea urchins and beetles! Neither was he constrained by Victorian attitudes to religion. |

As a child, Gerald Durrell and someone closer to home that has inspired me over the last 4 years and who is a WAB member but if I know him well enough, he would not want me to reveal his name publicly. All I will say that his understanding of the natural world is incredible and is able to convey that enthusiasm for it in the same way as the well known naturalists of today.
