How was Richmond today? I did get out to Regents Park and got a few pictures, nothing brilliant though

| | | Re: Lee valley nature photographers Richmond was great until about 30mins after I got there (after travelling for nearly 2hours) when the sun disappeared and didnt reappear! And not long after that happened I ahd 2 green woodpeckers (a species Ive been chasing all year) feeding within 5 or 6m of me! Its always the way!
Still I got some nice deer close ups
Did you have any luck wioth the water rail? |

| | | Re: Lee valley nature photographers No luck with the water rail at all, I went round the lake twice trying to see where you meant. Lots of other birds/waterfowl about, funny conditions, bright sun very low so lots shadows from trees. didnt get many good shots.
Where again is this water rail area?
green woodpeckers are good to see, used to have them all the time in the garden at home in the Chilterns but best I get here are pigeons, collared doves and starlings although a nice Jay yesterday in the garden
