| | | Re: Child friendly wildlife groups The BUMBLEBEE CONSEVATION TRUST has child members. http://www.bumblebeeconservationtrust.co.uk
Child membership is £9, or there is family membership.
I don't think there are local groups, just the magazine and childs little printed sheet, but the membership pack is good.
There's alot of good info on the website too.
Otherwise I would check out your local council's events and countryside publications. There are sure to be family events to take part in. |

| | | Re: Child friendly wildlife groups Local Councils can be very good for supporting countryside events and yes, there are often "County" Countryside magazines featuring some of the better known events.
For anyone browsing the website and finding this first, there is an extensive list of links to wildlife sites found when you go to the Directory (on the blue tab bar, top of page). |

| | | Re: Child friendly wildlife groups I just joined this forum, and thank you for all these links. I used to study marine biology and I'm still pretty active in wildlife groups. I really want to get my kids involved so this is helpful! |

| | | Re: Child friendly wildlife groups Here's a great nonprofit org that encourages children to learn more about wildlife. Granted, they do most of their work in Africa, but they have a forum where children can talk about their experiences.
