Thank you WAB from Brownie group

This is a big thank you to all the kind WABBERS who replied to my pms asking to use one or two of your photos for a quiz for our Brownie Group. About 20 WABBERS agreed to let me use photos and the Brownies have been asked to visit Wild About Britain (with a parent's permission) if they want to see any more wildlife pictures or if they have any questions.

This website is a great resource (particularly the identifications) and all the girls commented that the photos were really good and are interested in finding out more.

The first part of the quiz has been completed and all of the Brownies got enough right to get their Wildlife Explorer badge. We will go back to it so they can see their answers and think a bit more about the wildlife around them.

Thank you WAB!

Hey great news. Just the sort of thing to enthuse the youngsters. Thanks for letting us know.

Re: Thank you WAB from Brownie group

Absolutely my pleasure I hope they were useful and I'm thirlled that the girls were inspired. I was a brownie myself and my mum involved in guiding for decades. Glad to be able to give a little of something back.

Re: Thank you WAB from Brownie group

Well done to you and the Brownie organization for continuing to encourage the children to take an interest. You may be interested in the work the ABFG are doing in this sphere of influence:

Association of British Fungus Groups

Cheers and much more success in your venture. Please feel free to use my material if and when appropriate.

Re: Thank you WAB from Brownie group

Thanks again to you all, the welcome to this great website was a wonderful bonus, too.

Cybershot, that is a great site and I think it would be a good idea if we had a thread dedicated to child-frendly organisations for those who need to find the info quickly (at least until the Wild Kids section of this website is upm and running - and to help it).

Re: Thank you WAB from Brownie group

Hi Soupdragon, only just seen this posting so sorry about the long pause inbetween and I hope it still notifies you??

I'm a Cub Scout Leader and have registered for the RSPB's Wild Square, wondered if you had too and how it was working with you and your Brownies? I think it's great to have such a site as WAB to direct them to and feed their enthusiasm for all things to do with nature.

regards
Jeanette
