...was about to say. Apparently Carol is now thinking of suing the BBC because of what she said.
Bloddie was narrating an advert earlier, I think it was Tesco? Not sure... |

Apparently she said it in the Green Room ( No, not my room...) in front of 12 people off-air. As The ONE Show's roving reporter she was still essentially working and so they sacked her. They made the reason public, that her comment about a tennis player was racist, and so she's suing them for breaking privacy laws. Since then she claims to have received threats.

Personally I think it was a disgrace that she was sacked.
Jonathan Ross did much, much worse and is still doing it, as did Chris Moyles when he said, on air that "Polish women make good prostitutes" and Jo Brand is foul mouthed and slags off everyone, yet she was one of the people who reported Carole Thatcher.

The whole Russell brand fiasco was propogated by Ross. He started it and the young impressionable Brand just went along with it.
I have no time for Moyles, I think he is poor, and just comes across as a bully to his staff. I heard recently he'd put minimal effort into his Kilamanjaro charity climb, when theres folk that would give their right arm for the experience.
Carole was naive but she is old school and I am sure she never meant any malice. Sure some people are gunning for her just because of who her old queen is. | | | |
