Attenborough on Darwin, new TV programme

Todays Times centrefold story was an article by Damian Whitworth about Attenborough "it always seemed clear that we were related to monkeys". Although the story was largely about Attenborough it clearly showed great respect to Darwin.

The article introduced a forthcoming new TV programme where Sir David explores Darwins work, it is called "The Tree of Life" and will be screened on BBC1 at 9.00pm on February 1st. I am really looking forward to this programme however I am not sure if it is a one off or a series.

A side article introduced a theory that Darwin was heavily influenced by his Wedgewood family who were strong abolitionists against slavery.

Watch out for the programme.

I've been waiting for this. The Beeb keep teasing with adverts on BBC news but not giving a start date, so thanks for that

Darwin, Attenborough + an un-named Gorilla are on the front of the new BBC Wildlife mag- haven't had time to read it yet though!
