I also originate from Lancashire but moved south to Cambridgeshire almost 35 years ago - the hot dry climate just got too much for me  
Still miss the hills though

She was born in barrow or near there then moved to a place called the hill which is now millom, or a place in millom. she moved to chorley in the fiftys I think but her heart is still in barrow. Her father was a manager in the ship building industry |

Barrow must have quite a place in its' heyday. There's a strong community spirit in the area. The Hill is a small hamlet on the road to Millom.
