| | | Chris Chapman Has anyone heard of the photographer Chris Chapman, i love his style of photography, his photos seem to have so much character.
I've seen quite a few of his tv programmes & find them fascinating a lot of his work is about traditional farming & the countryside.
He captures brilliantly the history & tradition of his subjects, for anyone not familiar with him Chris Chapman Photography

| | | Re: Chris Chapman Hi Deer boy,
just had a look through the photographs of Chris Chapman, I can see why you like them so much. He's captured a lovely nostagic look at rural life centred around farming communities. The later photos still have this old feel to them and everyone looks so happy and content with their lives. They made me think that the captured images were from the second world war, when communities all pulled together, but most of the photos were between the seventies and nineties, but they just had this bygone era about them. There's such an innocence about these images! I'm so glad I decided to have a look at his Gallery

| | | Re: Chris Chapman There was a programme on BBC 4 a while ago about James Ravilious another photographer with a similar style to Chris Chapman.
It was a fantastic programme but sadly hasn't been repeated, it's typical they repeat all the rubbish but never show the good programmes again.
Here's a link to some of his photos & a bit more about him James Ravilious - photographer of rural life 1939 - 1999
