This new forum aims to allow everyone to find out about People and Groups associated with wildlife, the environment and the great outdoors across the British Isles, and hopefully get involved in the countryside. Threads could include info on leading scientists, academics, artists, celebrities, journalists as well as not-for-profit associations, clubs, charities and societies throughout the UK.
Before posting in this section, please read the
forum rules especially:
# No poaching - don't use this website to recruit members or content for other sites that conflict with the interests of Wild About Britain (i.e. don't try and use WAB to create your own/group's wildlife
Gallery, forum, directory etc)
# Be polite - respect other members and their opinions. We will not tolerate rudeness and any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may have their membership removed without warning.
# Don't be creepy! You know the sort of guys we're talking about. Don't be one of those guys!
# Don't advertise any products, services or suppliers for sale now or in the future.
# To avoid duplicate threads and make them easier to find, please ensure that thread titles are the correct name for the person or group - i.e. "Bill Oddie", not "Ex-Goodies Birder" etc
It's a bit risky adding this forum as it could lead to some heated debates about the values and opinions of people or groups. We don't want to stifle good discussion and we don't aim to moderate out any people or groups whether for/against any wildlife and environment issues, so please just respect other peoples opinions.
Similarly, please note that even if the people or groups are not members, they, their parents/children/spouse, employer etc may be reading the thread, so please respect their privacy and go easy on any negative personal comments. We've got no ambition to be a trashy celeb magazine, so please avoid any red-top scandal or phwoarr! comments
Remember, legally, you're entirely responsible for your own comments and if you get into difficulty you're on your own
