| | Hope Bourne I've just finished reading a book called Wild Harvest by Hope Bourne & would say to anyone who hasn't read it to get a copy.
It was first published in 1978 & has been reprinted twice since,it tells her story of been self sufficient on remote farms.
It says so much about how we live our lives today & when you consider it was written 30 years ago i dread to think what she would think now.
I've mentioned before that i have all her books & strongly recommend them all, i'm fascinated about the way she lived, i know that would have been the norm many years ago seems a shame how things have changed.
I have all her books & have read most of the stuff on the internet but i'm trying to get hold of the tv programmes she's done. If anyone knows where i might be able to get hold of these it would be most appreciated.
As i said, i strongly recommend Wild Harvest even if you get it from a library it's well worth a read.
Hope this wets your appetite Hope Bourne and Exmoor Hope Bourne BBC - Devon Great Outdoors - Spring on Exmoor
I would love to hear anyones views on her books & if anyone has any information they think might interest me i would love to hear it

| | | Re: Hope Bourne I've tried a few times with her but have always had difficulty with the hunting part of her life. I don't want to start a hunting debate on here, the opposite, but is there anything by her that doesn't involve it as I would really like to know more about her life as it sounds interesting? |

| | | Re: Hope Bourne If you haven't read Wild Harvest then like i said i strongly recommend it, there is a small mention of hunting but then if you live that way of life i suppose it's one of her main food supplies.
The book says so much about her way of life i think we could all learn something from it.
I must also say the pictures in the book are so good there almost like photos
