Unidentified leafy liverwort, help needed

Hi,

Does any one recognise this liverwort, please? Or at least tell me what genus it could be. Found on the north side of granite stone wall. Southern edge of Dartmoor.

My knowledge of bryophytes is very limited (as you know), but I’ll do what I can. I did think Bazzania trilobata at first, but I think it’s more likely to be a Scapania – possibly gracilis, though that often has a more browny tinge.

I'll take a second look at the liverwort and see if I can understand the descriptions in the 'Field Guide'. If it becomes any clearer to me, I will get back to you.

After advice from a local expert, it is safe to say that the liverwort is, indeed, Scapania gracilis.
