Would you chop the heads off Gill, if you came across one?
Tracey | Yes I would if I happened to have the right stuff onmee or if I was going back, I've had them dug up in the past too. Nasty stuff. Is it a major watercourse? Environment Agency might do it if you let them know where it is.

| | | Re: Large 'Tropical' looking plant for ID please Chop off the heads, spray it with extra strength Round-up, dig it out, burn it, mix the ash with sulphuric acid and shoot the resultant mess into space. Noxious horrible plant! My sister in law's son is blind in one eye because of the stuff. Call in the eradicators.

I think before I go 'wading in' (literally!), I'll have to make sure I'm not on private land on the other side of the stream/river.
I suppose I could try finding out who the landowner is and suggest that they take steps to get rid of it!
Ooh I'm on a mission now! Watch out Triffid, I'm coming to get you!
Tracey

Tracey | Sunny!
You don't go getting Triffids.
They come and get you.
PS. But would you accept a Triffid instead of a perching log?
