| | Hemitrichia calyculata? one from today, possibly Hemitrichia calyculata, but early days yet.
Any thoughts out there on it so far?
I have it and will post changes, dehiscence etc, hopefully.
Cheers
Ken

I thought, that you have nice photos
Maybe Hemitrichia maybe Trichia decipiens. Hopefully we'll see that later.

| | | Re: Hemitrichia calyculata? Hi Ken, H.calyculata is probably as good a shout as you can get at this stage of things - I've certainly seen them with that shade of pink on the sporangia.
But I can also see the possibility of T,decipiens as suggested by Marja too.
Any chance of more pics when they've matured a bit more?
PS - It's about time that you dug your microscope out of its mothballs!! - Looking at these things under the scope is very interesting. (even when you don't know what you are looking at half of the time ).
Regards,
Mike.

| | | Re: Hemitrichia calyculata? Ha, nice one Mike, its having the time for microscopy as much as anything - but youre right, perhaps I should manage my foray time and PC time better to accommodate it..................
They have turned a nice brown, so still waiting..... its like waiting to give birth (I gather!)
Cheers
Ken
