Possible Chestnut - help with ID please

This was taken in Clumber Park today in mixed woodland with a lot of Beech. The closest I can get is Dark Chestnut - Conistra ligula on the UK Moths site but I am not that convinced.

I'm more inclined to go for Chestnut, as Dark Chestnut should have quite pointed wing tips which I can't see on your specimen.

Hi Jaybie,

I would agree that they are Chestnut - it looks similar to some example I had during this Autumn. Really just wanted to say that those are cracking photos.

Thanks aeshna, I have been back to UK Moths and can see what you mean by the pointed wings. What put me off Chestnut were the more distinctive dots on the wings compared to mine.
