| | | Is this a winter moth? Hi All,
I found this little chappy on my outside door last night - I am pretty sure it is a winter moth - mainly on size - forewing length 12-13mm which would give a wingspan of 25 - 28mm which is right; but would love a confirmation.

| | | Re: Is this a winter moth? Based on the look and the wingspan, Winter Moth for me.
Moths are not my "thing" though, so another opinion would be good. And I've never seen a Winter Moth (mind you, would love to find a female, but don't know where to look).

| | | Re: Is this a winter moth? I've yet to see a Winter Moth, but the shape of the wing looks right, it has a more rounded tip to the forewing than November Moth agg. There's also the Northern Winter Moth, just to confuse things a bit more!
Cheers,
