| | | More moth ids Hi
The trap was left out last night, and I caught a few more things...Red Green Carpet and Silver Y I am happy with, but until someone buys me a book for Christmas, please could someone id these for me (I may be able to get better pics if needed):
Thanx in anticipation! |

| | | Re: More moth ids I will have a go:
1. Not sure. A better pic of the wings would help. Not a head on shot but one looking directly down. Looks kind of like a Yellow Underwing of some sort.
2. Looks like a Sprawler.
3. Not sure. Maybe a Dark Arches? |

I've added a top-down of #1, hope it helps. It does seem to be a little worn. A friend has subsequently suggested Yellow-Line Quaker for this one. |

| | | Re: More moth ids Hmmmm it is a better shot for ID but I am still not sure. I don't think it is a yellow underwing anymore now. I have never seen yellow-line quaker so I am not sure. It is pretty worn too! |

| | | Re: More moth ids I've had a look at various photos across the internet of Bricks and Yellow Line Quakers side by side, and as a beginner to this, I'm damned of I can tell the difference on some of the examples!
And, given that this one is so worn, I guess I may never know. |

| | | Re: More moth ids I. is a very worn Brick or Yellow-line Quaker, sorry I can't be sure.
2 is Sprawler
3. is Dark Arches, which does have a late generation
Cheers,

| | | Re: More moth ids I think it's possibly a Yellow-line Quaker because the (very faded) line seems very straight, compared to that of a Brick. |
