two small brownies for id please

These two rather plain, brownish guys have so far defied my rather amateur efforts to id them. No1 is around 6-7mm and before i could get a side-on veiw, it decided it had an urgent appointment elsewhere and flew off never to be seen again!
no 2 is also quite small c10mm wingspan at rest.
would appreciate any help

First one is a Caddis Fly.

Thanks adam - that probably explains why i couldn't find it on UK Moths!
Any idea on no2?

Might be a worn Large Tabby.

Thanks again adam. It is very worn isn't it. I had considered a worn Udea Lutealis but this moth is quite a bit smaller than U.l

Not a Tabby then! I did think of a Udea but it didn't look right.

I agree - don't reckon its a U.l - your Tabby call is more likely.
