Number four looks like a Common Quaker. But it may also just be a normal Rustic. |

| | | Re: Four Macros and one micro for id please Right Alan, I reckon these are:-
1. Lesser Yellow Underwing
2. (embarassed to admit, I'm stumped on this one. markings 7 colour so even, it's difficult to tell)
3. Straw Underwing
4. Rustic
5. Scoparia pyralella (maybe)
Will come back on & edit in 2 & 5 when I've got them.

| | | Re: Four Macros and one micro for id please I think number 5. has been ID'd as Eudonia lineola by Hants moths (I think it's virtually the same). Google Images
A July/August coastal species, so that fits, but I really wouldn't like to say.

| | | Re: Four Macros and one micro for id please Thanks everyone. As Deb says, No5 does appear to be identical to the Eudonia lineola posted on the Hants site and it seemingly flies July-August so perhaps thats what that one is. Hope no2 can be nailed.
