Help to identify this moth please
Hi folks,

Took this photo on 28th July 2006 at 13.30. It was on a white Buddleia and was constantly shuddering its wings.

Help with an ID much appreciated.

Nice photo Bruce - aren't moths great! I only discovered them last summer myself but I am hooked. It is a Silver Y, this was the first type I learned the name for

Nice photo Bruce. Silver-Y's are common migrants- last year they appeared in exceptional numbers. I remember seeing dozens visiting flowers in my garden last summer- they particularly enjoyed Escallonia, Red Valerian + Buddlejas.
