small ermine help

Hi, can you ID to species with presumably a small ermine, I think a Yponomeuta spp from a pic?

These are difficult to tell apart i find. Any ideas what it was feeding/resting on? Also where in the UK was it?

Someone might be able to tell from the photo but I can't. I would guess Orchard or Spindle, probably Spindle Ermine.

Hi Nige - it was on the car windscreen in Tesco carpark!
All mixed stuff round there.
Near me, south pennines - bit north for them?
