| | | Moth ID Please x 2 Hi,
I wonder if anyone can identify two moths. The first one is on a fence and quite plain, the other I have two pictures of one on a mat and one by some stones.
Many Thanks |

Surely not? Comparison of markings is questionable. If so, it shows how mis-identification can occur when colours are not accurately re-produced.
If an ID is requested, one would presume that the colours are reasonably accurate. If they are accurate, then I would stick with Dark Arches and Reddish Light Arches.

| | | Re: Moth ID Please x 2 hi, it is three photos and two moths the second is a better picture as the third maybe had too much flash. it is a brown colour and not reddish!
it even sat on my hand and could not let it go as it had been raining so assume it did not want to get wet.
thanks |

thanks | Thanks for the clarification. The colour depicted ties up with a Reddish Light Arches in my book, which I would also not describe as "reddish."
