| | | Four for confirmation/ID please These four were in my trap this morning:
1 Vine's Rustic?
2 Mottled Beauty?
3 Cabbage Moth?
4 Dot Moth?
Thanks!
I had far fewer moths this time than the last couple of weeks, but still had a few 'firsts' including Shark, Early Thorn and Yellow-tail. |

I'm gonna stick my neck out & say:-
no.2 might be a Dark Umber
no.4 looks like a Common or Lesser Common Rustic
others look good for your suggestions but they always look different in a photo than in the flesh!
Hope this helps.
Vicki.

I did wonder about 2 because of the shape of the corner of the forewings, but Dark Umber is a new one to me (not one I even remember coming across on WAB before). I've just checked, and it wasn't on the 'Hants Moths Flying Tonight' page which I use for checking IDs, so it's no wonder I couldn't ID it myself. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
