| | | Ermine moth?? on cucumber plant? Hi guys,
Tricky one for you boffs out there as I have no pics to post but yesterday I went into the greenhouse to find my two cucumber plants swathed in a cobwebby shroud!
Recognising this (I think) as the work of the Ermine moth ??? I have taken out the plants, they were nearly over anyway with just two 3/4 grown fruit on them, along with all the 'cobwebs' which had gritty , tiny, orangey seed like substance underneath it.
Did I do the right thing? avoiding a plague of devastating caterpillars or have I sacrificed my cucumbers needlessly? | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
